It all started on September 08, 2000. Sheron was a freshmen transferring from another school to Well Glenn High where her life begins to change. She was an innocent little girl who grew up in a poor family. Her parents always argue and tempted to divorce. Her sisters and her have a very strong bonding because they know that it was the only way to tie the family back together. She was smart, innocent, and sweet. She didn't know anything of the real life. All she knows was stories and fairy tales that she heard from her mother and all her catoons show.
She begins to meet new friends. Her life begins to open. However, she was scared. She scared that her happy life will one point be ended. So many people want to meet her, but she was so shy. She did not know what awaited her. One day, she met this guy through her friends. Andy was popular, he was cute, and he has alot of gal friends. She knows that he was not meant for her because he was too good. She always think of herself as this clumsy and ugly girl who knew nothing of the world. So they begin to talk more and more. Everyday, he would come to her hang out spot pretending to meet up with his friends just to glance at her. Innocent girl that she is, she did not know this. Many other guys have wanting to ask her out, but she refused. Not because she did not like them, but because she did not know what dating is. He did not know this. He thought that she doesn't like him, so he started to go out with one of his gal friend. They hold hands and everything. One day, he brought her to Sheron's hang out place. She did not know what happened, but she was happy for him because he got with someone. Somehow, she did not feel easy about it.
After a couple of months, Andy's girl friend broke up with him. Sheron knew about this. So she find a chance to talk to him and cheer him up. She did not realized that it means so much to him. She was simply doing a friend's job. They started to talk more and more. They would spent hours over the phone talking to each other. Soon, he asked her to be his girlfriend. But she did not answer him. She told him to give her some time to think it over because she was not ready to get into a relationship. During this time, he did not give her any pressure. They would just act like friends, but he cares so much for her. Everytime she needed him, he was there. She was not his first. Sheron's didn't want just any guy. She wants a special guy that she can build a relationship with. One that can lead to marriage. Although she realized that she was not his first, she accepted. Hoping to be his last.
A month later, he asked for her answer on the exact day. She accepted. It was the happiest day of his life, by far. So was her. He wants to take her places, but poor guy did not have a car. She did not mind because she knew his situation. His family was poor and his parents never talk to him about anything; they only yelled at him for his action. Sheron wanted to give him the care that he needs and the love that he needs. She was a good girl. All her friends always asked her why she choose him over all the other guys. She answer them, "because he is different."
Months passed, they celebrate every month anniversary together. Sometimes they just call and say happy anniversary. Other times, they would just exchange gifts. For the first six months, Sheron did not give Andy anything because she did not know the tradition of anniversary because she never have one. At the six months anniversary, she made a pair of paper lilly for him. She knows it was nothing and think that he would think it's cheap. Instead, he treasured it as if it is crystal. He also got her something; he got her a watch with his initial and hers engrave on the inside. He told her in a whispered voice, "Everytime you look at your watch, remember me." So everytime she look at her watch, she remember their special moment together.
A year passed, alot of things changed. They begin to have arguments because he started to go out too much and too late. She did not like that, so she told him not to go out too often. He did not listen to her. Everyday after school, he would go out and return home very late. Sometimes, he did not come home at all. Everytime he goes out she would call and ask him when will he be back. Because his ego was too high in front of his friends, he answer her in a mean tone as if she was just his friends. He told her not to call him while he was out with his friends, but she kept on calling. Foolish girl, she waited by the phone until he called. Sometimes she would not eat or sleep until he called her. When he is home, he called her and simply said that he was home and then hang up. She was sad, but she forgives him. On their one year anniversary, she made him a ribbon heart ties with blue and pink ribbon for him to hang on his car. Although it took her a long time to make and to learn, she got it finish. Sheron never did anything like this for anyone so she did not know how to make things and how to craft things, but because of him, she tries.
Day in and day out, they started to have more and more arguments. He begins to smoke. The news crushed her heart into pieces because her family would not accept him if he involved in drugs. She tries so hard to quit him. Nothing works. He told her that if she loves him then she should accept him the way he is. But she never quit trying. She knows that one day, she will change him back to his old self. News comes, he have to pack his bag to boot camp. She was soo scared, scared to loose him and scared for his life. She told him not to go, to quit. He told her it was his duty to serve the country. She understands this, but she still afraid. Afraid to loose him. Before he leaves, he bought her a ring with their initial engrave. He tells her not to worry and that he will return safetly. He wrote to her as often as he can and she reply as often as she can. Their relationship was happy again. He missed her so much and so was her. Every letter came attach with a kiss.
After four months, he called her. He told her he would be home soon. At the same time, he asked her if she received the flowers that he sent. During that time, the doorbell rang. She opens, to her great suprise, he was the deliverer with a bouque of flowers for her. She was speechless. She begins to cry and gave him a big fat hug. They were so happy again. He would do whatever she wants him to and she did the same to him.
After awhile, He begins to go out with his friends again. No matter how much she tries to endure it, she does not like that fact because she knows that his friends will corrupt him. He did not listen to her. Arguments begin to rise again. He spend less and less time with her. They stop going out together. Day by day, he acted cold to her. She kept crying whenver they talk on the phone, which angrys him more. He would yelled at her from time to time whenever she cries or whenever she asked him too many questions. This cuts Sheron's heart deeply. No matter what, she will bear the pain because she loves him. One day, Sheron found out that he was goint out with this girl who likes him. They were holding hands. The news struck her like lightning. She did not believe this. Many times she asked him about this, he refused to tell her the truth. So one day, she broke up with him because he told her that he wanted freedom and by having her by his side means controlling his freedom. The last thing she would do is to let him go, but because he would be happy- she left him.
She cried for a month after they broke up. After awhile, she recovers herself from the injure and re-live her life. She was not happy at all. Not a moment passed that she would not think of him.
School started, but her heart still bleeds. One sunny day after school, Andy showed up infront of Sheron's car. She was shocked. He changed. He looks so different. She did not like his new look because he looks so much like a gangster. He looks so thin. She was soo worry wondered if he used some illegal drugs. Things start to dim. He asked her out again. Poor girl, her mind tell her not to go, but her heart accepted the invitation. After that day, he start to call her again. Things start to look up. Sheron told herself a thousand times to forget him, to move on, don't get hurt again. No matter how many times she tells herself that, she will always give him a chance. One phone call, he asked her for a second chance because he knows how important she is to him. He cannot lose her because he loves her so much. She believed every words he said. She told herself that no one is perfect and to love someone means to sacrafy everything and to forgive and forget. She forgives him for everything. Even when he hurted her. They were back together. She tries to change her stubborness because she knows that he doesn't like it. She tries to understand him and not to annoy him. She learned to give him space. But no matter what, he would never listen to what she wants to tell him. He was never there for her to talk to. He does not want to listen to her fairy tales story. Everytime he tells her to change for him, she did. Everytime she tells him to quit smoking and concentrate on his school, he said he'll try. He wanted her to give him time and she did. Everything that he asked for, she tries her best to fulfill it. Even the smallest thing that she did, she though of him. But whenever he goes out, he could careless of her waiting for his phone. He once told her to grow out of her fairy tales world. But what he didn't know was that it is the only world her dream can come true. She can never tell him her feelings or her problems because he does not want to listen nor comment on it.
On a raining night, he called her to ask if she wanted to break up with him. She said yes. Naive girl, she did not know he was serious about it. She was tire of the relationship. So he went out with another girl the next week. Silly girl, she called and begged to be back in his arms, but he did not love her anymore. She cried and cried. Although many said he was a jerk, but to her, he was her first and ONLY love. It was no used, she lost his love forever.
A couple months later, he called back and wanted to get back with her. Her heart has been ripped apart, but it jumped when he said this. She could not believed what she heard. She accepted without any hestitation. For what she did not know, her heart is slowy being torn apart again. She thought about this, but she risk any chance to be with him. Even if it hurted her a million times. Time after time, the same thing happend again. He cannot change for her. For the last time, she asked "Do you still love me?" He reply " I don't know, .. ever since you left me it's not the same anymore." After a four years relationship, she knows he does not love her anymore. She cried for days and nights. Cry until her eyes can no longer dread tears. For whatever it is, he will never kno how much she loves him and how much she had sacrafied. For all she knows, she cannot love anyone else like she had loved him.
" ... Thank you for telling me an honest answer, hope you will find someone who you will truly love. If you're happy then I'll be happy. ... remember don't go out too much, your parent will worry. Do good in school and try to quit smoking if you can... Can you promise me something? Take good care of yourself ok? it'll be the last promise...."
Until today, she still loves him, but she is no longer the old Sheron. The old Sheron had died when her heart stopped beating. But she still love him very very much...
